Understand Noritz retrofit configurations
Noritz’s EZ Series includes models designed around storage-tank replacement, with top-mounted water connections on listed EZ models. That design can be relevant to a conversion, but it does not establish that a particular home needs no plumbing or utility changes.
For an existing Noritz unit, note the exact error and whether hot-water flow or temperature is changing. If the problem occurs only when several fixtures run, tell the team which ones. Diagnosis should account for demand and installation rather than focus on the display alone.
Before choosing a replacement
A conversion should include gas supply, the proposed venting arrangement, condensate needs where applicable and access for future service. Compare the complete project with keeping a conventional tank. Equipment marketed for retrofit still needs to be matched to the actual property.
Plan service around your home.
For a Marietta home with the heater in a basement, garage or utility closet, tell the team about the location and any restricted access. Mention stairs or a narrow removal route when discussing replacement. The installation area can affect the work as well as the choice of equipment.
Compare output at the required temperature rise, simultaneous fixture use and available utility capacity. On-demand heating does not guarantee unlimited flow or immediate hot water at a distant faucet. Learn about repair, replacement and maintenance before you call.
Describe what you can see safely. Leave gas, electrical, venting and pressure-relief work to qualified professionals.
